Shoot for the moon, if you miss, Shoot Again!

Shoot for the moon, if you miss, you’ll land in the stars, Shoot Again!

Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you’ll land in the stars, is a very famous “motivational” quote. I always fail to see how this is something that instils motivation in a person. It, in fact, demotivates a person. There are always Settlers in life. The aim in life is to never settle, it is to just keep on trying. There is something in everyone’s life that demands more out of life. People settle for mediocrity in many aspects of their lives daily. What happens to most people is that they shoot for the Moon, and when they missed they smiled and settled for the stars.  That is what changes everything. Nobody reaches the moon in the first shot, it takes time, passion, dedication and more importantly the attitude to never settle for the stars. Let’s take a moment and think of all those people, who missed the moon at first, imagine if they would have smiled and settled for the stars. The world we see wouldn’t be like this today.

Life is way too short to settle for anything less than what we truly want. The only way to embrace your potential is to stop settling. We are only limiting ourselves and wasting our precious time. The moment we begin to settle in the most important roles of our lives is the moment we begin to die a slow death. Excellence is a place where people who refuse to settle for mediocrity life; it is where one reaps from all the hard work sown. It is a journey of continuous progress toward the goals in your life. For those who settle for less than what they truly want to exist only to consume space, time, and resources. To fill a void. Nothing more, nothing less. Life is all a test to see if you choose the path of existence or living. The path of existence is a default for all things that are on planet earth, but the trail of true living is only reserved for those who never settle for what they truly want.

Whenever you try to settle for a star remember to shoot for the moon again. Next time you try to settle for less, remember there is a whole world to explore still, there are empires to create, there are dreams to achieve, there are places to go, people to see, and memories to be made. As Henry Ford once said, “Mediocrity is the worst enemy of prosperity.” Slay mediocrity and embrace prosperity.

Don’t just Exist, Live!
