“How sweet is rest after fatigue! How sweet will heaven be when our journey is ended.”
Our life on earth is painful, it’s tiring and at certain points we really wish it would be over. Upon seeing everything that is happening around us, the events unfolding around us scream one thing and that is We Are Almost Home. A land far far away, better than the ones told to us in the fairy tales. A place which cannot be explained with words, something much beyond human comprehension. We are all on that journey to that place, where we will run to the father and meet him and rest in his arms forever and ever. And he will wipe away every tear from your eyes, and when you rest in his arms, the pains of today will go away, the things that troubled you won’t matter anymore, the people that hurt you can’t hurt you anymore because it is a beautiful place, a place without pain, a place where love is all there is, where we shall be with the Lord forever and ever, where my worry, my struggle, my pain and my tears are no longer needed, a land where we rejoice with the father and bask in his glory, a land beyond the fairy tales. Oh, and when we rest in his arms, you are going to experience grace and love like never before, that feeling is beyond a poets ink, it’s beyond an artist’s brush, it is going to be greater than anything mankind has ever experienced before. That’s my home, and I AM ALMOST HOME.
Paul a friend of Christ once said, “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face”. Yep, that is true, the day is almost here when we are going to meet him face to face. And we will run to him. Beulah Land, oh how I am longing for it, And some day on thee I’ll stand, There my home shall be eternal, Sweet Beulah Land. And it’s the hour 11. We are almost there. But until then, we live here, in this painful world, with our worries and our tears and our fears, well this road will be hard, But spoiler alert, we win in the end and It’s not if but when, When, we win, it shall be a glorious day. So take joy in the journey, Even when it feels long, even when it drains every last ray of hope within you find strength in each step, Because heaven is cheering you on!
“Almost home, Brother it won’t be long, Soon all your burdens will be gone, With all your strength, Sister run wild, run free, Hold up your head, Keep pressing on, We are almost home!”
