“If man had his way, the plan of redemption would be an endless and bloody conflict. In reality, salvation was bought not by Jesus’ fist, but by His nail-pierced hands; not by muscle but by love; not by vengeance but by forgiveness; not by force but by sacrifice. Jesus Christ our Lord surrendered in order that He might win; He destroyed His enemies by dying for them and conquered death by allowing death to conquer Him.”
That’s the message of the cross. One that is of love, one that taught us to accept everyone no matter what, the one that showed us, that we are all equals, equally unworthy, but our differences doesn’t matter, it never mattered for the cross, it never mattered for the darling if heaven who left everything behind and came down for those who didn’t even wanted him, that is what Cross is all about, that is what the great sacrifice is all about, it’s about throwing away our differences and loving everyone the way we have been loved. Now we look around and all we see is chaos, pain and hatred. Brother against brother, nation against nation, people doing unspeakable things for selfish gains, where hatred took over the world, and the world has always seen hatred, but there was only one thing that broke into this cruel world and spread love, and not love, not just the way anybody has ever seen, God loved thw way the world has never been loved before, and to know that he did that to us, to those who don’t deserve it, one bit. Now on that cross, Love came was displayed, upon on that hill for the whole world to see, that, right there is what Love looks like, right there is when the heavens darling kissed the earths rejected, when God Almighty looked down on His creation and said, “You’re mine, and I would do anything to make you mine”, it was the greatest display of love and it was shown on Calvary.
Christ died on that Cross, when it looked like he succumbed to death, just when Death was claiming it’s victory, just when humanity thought it had lost it all, just when victory was rising over the horizon, it all seemed dark and lost, but the earth shook, the heavens rumbled, the veil tore, the tomb was open, Behold! He is risen! For a moment, death thought it had him, the devil had almost claimed victory, but one thing they didn’t know was you can’t bury the Creator, you don’t put down the one who left everything behind and came down, and you can’t stop love. He rose again, beat death, paid the price for our freedom and he is with the father in Heaven.
We are the reason the world saw such a great sacrifice, and we live in this world as the sons and daughters and that is not a responsibility we should take carelessly. We carry a responsibility far too great for us to take it lightly. As the carriers of this love, let’s live life like the message of the cross. To love everyone, to care for those in need, to lend a helping hand, to be kind to one another, because the world really needs it. Let’s go ahead and live like we’re loved, show the world we’re loved by showing them what Love is. The need for it is greater than ever. Let’s be the ones who show the world what the Cross meant, not just for this season, but till our time on earth is done.
He is Risen! And he has bought the price for our redemption! And that calls for a celebration, a celebration that should echo throughout our lives, a celebration we must embrace till our life on earth is done.
Let’s go ahead and live like we’re loved because love was bought to us by Calvary’s Cavalry.
