So many someone’s have come forward to serve humanity in these tough times
Be that someone who is restoring faith in humanity by just being someone”
Someone is a powerful word. Someone is anonymous. Someone is there for you. Someone makes sure we are not wiped off from planet earth. When the world around is going through a crisis, when the whole world is in pain, there is still beauty in this chaos, and yes, it is difficult to see the beauty among these ashes but the reason, our population is not wiped out is because there is Someone. I call that someone God and I call that someone God’s creations. Yes, we are the beauty in the ashes. We see a world in pain, but through it, we also see ‘Someone’ giving his or her everything to make sure there is comfort in the pain.
We are all human, and we all just want a chance. A chance at life, a chance at an education, a chance at a future really, a chance at beating a pandemic. We all have the opportunity to help someone else. All you need to do is help one person. Expecting nothing in return. That is Being Human. It starts with somebody on the pavement; it starts with your neighbor. The person right next to you, the person sitting next to you in class, the kid down the block in your neighborhood. You just do whatever you can to help in any way that you can. Today, we see commitments to help. A commitment to make a difference. If you got something to spare, there’s plenty to share.
Making the effort to talk to someone has the potential to be a lifesaver that you are not even aware. It is good to talk and, sometimes, it is all that we need in order to lift a weight off your shoulders and approach life with an open mind. There is little excuse not to help your fellow humans, because if you were in their shoes you would be desperate for someone to help you, too.
Make a difference, because today it is someone else, tomorrow it might be you. However, do it because it is the right thing to do. There is a Chinese saying that goes “If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.” For centuries, the greatest thinkers have suggested the same thing: Happiness is found in helping others.
