Maximum Utilization

“Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Concept is self-given. Be careful”

There was once a person who lived his life by the motto, ‘maximum utilisation’. He made the most of every opportunity he got, he used it to the fullest. And that is a good way to live your life. Utilisation simply means, ‘using of something in the most effective way’. When we have something, use it in the most effective way. Each of us are born with talents, gifts and abilities and the question is, what are we doing with it? Are we utilising it to the fullest in the most effective way? ‘Maximum utilisation’ is good when it’s applied in our lives to use our gifts to help someone along the way. Don’t mistake this as a license to abuse the ‘free sample section’ in supermarkets, or to go crazy in a free buffet. It’s for each one of us, born and blessed with talents and gifts that’s so amazing that it can be used to change the world around you. 

“You were given your gift for the joy you may give in return” 

The gifts that we are blessed with are powerful enough to change the lives around us and even powerful enough to change the world. ‘What are we doing with it?’ Talents or gifts is not something that will run out after a point of time. It grows stronger and replenishes the more you use it. But not using it, will let it go to waste. It’s a gift and you honour the giver by using it. So it goes without saying that, when you don’t use what you’ve been entrusted with by the giver above, you don’t disappoint him. He gave it to you, because he saw something in you, we may not be able to see that, we may look at ourselves or someone else and wonder, ‘how?’. But the divine giver saw something in us, which made him give us this great gift.

So what we do with it, is of great importance to the giver. You may not have the crime fighting abilities like Batman or super strength like Superman, may not be able to climb up walls and shoot webs on the enemy, but we’ve all got something in us. Something that’s amazing, beautiful and powerful which you can use to do great things. May not be a history altering feat or an epic deed. It could be something small, it could seem insignificant, but that shouldn’t distract you. It should only push you forward, motivating you to do more and to do better with whatever it is that you’ve got. Because you honour the giver by using the gift, and you make the lives of those around you better by using your gift. So, use whatever it is that you’ve got, don’t let it rust.
