We’ve all listened to what Simon says, but how many listen to what your heart says, many times we still listen to what Simon says.
The heart despite the many labels and meanings we give to it is so much more than just an organ or a mere feeling; it’s the everything, the universe speaks through it to us. It’s the essence of all the values within you. It’s the essence of our spiritual and emotional. In the ancient days, the heart was seen as the seat of emotions, where noble and gentle traits such as kindness and compassion came forth from. Ancient philosophers such as Aristotle and many others believed it so. Many scholars believe that there is a great difference between the heart and mind, but for today Simon says to see it as the same.
The mind can create some of the most beautiful creative works of art; it’s the root of brilliant scientific theories and the origin of inventive solutions for complicated problems. Unlike popular beliefs that the heart can be too uncertain and even misguided, but it’s the head talking! It is a source of great richness, and that wealth is something that you do not want to squander or lose. It is the core of your being, a reservoir of joy. Take it out, ‘Hey! You are no more!’ Our lives would be a whole lot better every day if we listen to our heart and turn a deaf ear to what the world is yelling at us.
