“Yesterday is gone, tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin”
What a year we’ve had, it tickled us, it hurt us, it bought us down on our knees, it made us clench our fists, it made us question what we believe in, it re-affirmed our faith, it taught us some lessons, it showed us what to do, it showed us what not to do, it took people from our lives, it added people to our lives, it bought success, it bought failure, it changed your life as you know it. And standing on the first day of a New Year, a New Decade, all we can say looking back is ‘Thank You’!
Maybe the past year hasn’t been kind to you, maybe at times it kicked you to the corner and maybe it adorned you with garlands, maybe the path would have been laden with roses and maybe it would have been a rough road. Whatever it is, however life treated you the past year, it is all in the past! We’re looking ahead to a new year, a new decade.

We’ve got a New Year that’s dawned on us, what are we going to do with it? Sure, there’s a lot of things we can do, there are a lot of things we want to do. Whatever it is that we want to do, let us do it with passion and a conviction this year. Maybe take that tiny step towards your greatest fear, take a leap of faith into the unknown, Speak life into the dead and darkest nights, Go where it hurts, overcome the barriers of the world, each day aim to be a better person, each day make this world a better place to live in, for you and for those around and sit back and see as the universe does wonders for you.
The past year we saw pain and struggle all around, brother against brother, nation against nation, a lot of hatred and tears flowing down, this year maybe let’s change that. Let’s do our part to make this world a better place, let’s love a little more, let’s laugh a little more, let’s share a little more, let’s understand a little more, let’s stand with justice a little more, let’s fight for the oppressed a little more, let’s make this world a better place, a home for everybody, where there is happiness and joy filled with peace and laughter, where nobody loses their loved ones to hatred and selfish gains, where we can all live happily ever after. Because the object of the New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul. Let us renew our minds and soul, let us buckle up to change the world, but each day, change ourselves.
One thing for sure in the next year is that your life will change. Because life is all about change, sometimes it’s painful, sometimes it’s beautiful, but most time it’s both. However it changes, for better or for worse, always trust in The One who holds your tomorrow, let him direct your path, let him take you where he wants you to go, and make sure He is always with you, because this life is not worth living, if He isn’t with you.
