“ You may never know that Jesus is all you need, until Jesus is all you have”
“Not enough”, “never enough”, these are all phrases we’ve all heard and said multiple times in our lives. We’re a generation that is never satisfied. Whether it is our needs or our understanding or whatever it maybe, we’re never satisfied. You may have a wonderful job, a good career but still that’s not enough, you may have great accreditation and honours to your name, but that’s not enough. From a young age we are lured into the trap of not enough. From scoring 98 out of 100 for your exams and coming home to your parents asking where the other 2 marks went, to doing very well in your career and your boss asking, if that’s the best you could do. Now, let me tell you about the God I Know, he’s more than enough for you. He’s the answer to all your questions, and he’s the solution to all your problems and he’s more than enough for you.
“Jesus doesn’t just give you what you need; Jesus is what you need. Your heart was created by Him, for Him. You can fight and claw to gain the world, but without Jesus, you will never be completely satisfied.
If there is a growing discontent deep inside your heart, a hunger that hasn’t been completely satisfied by the people, pleasures, parties, material things, or accomplishments, today is the day to open your heart to the idea that it is Jesus that you were made for. But you have to walk away from “less,” and ask Him to become your “more.” Jesus is enough for you, and He is here”
When you’re stressed out by deadlines or exams – Jesus is enough.
When your boss and colleagues do not try to understand what you’re going through – Jesus is enough.
When you friends are less than friendly – Jesus is enough.
When the news from your doctor is unsettling – Jesus is enough.
When the news that you see takes away your sleep – Jesus is enough.
When life gets turned upside down – Jesus is enough.
Aren’t you tired chasing after things that can’t satisfy? Don’t you want more than a pretty picture to put on Instagram? Wouldn’t you like your life to be more than a pile of presents and stressed-out exhaustion? The world can never satisfy you, and it may trick you into thinking it will, but it’s a trap. It can never satisfy because it doesn’t understand what you truly want. There’s only one person who knows you inside out and that’s the God I Know.
“Since He knows you more than you know yourself, he is more than enough for you”
