“Look at how deeply flawed we are, and yet capable of loving so perfectly”
We live in a world, where Love is endorsed, marketed and where a great deal of branding is done. We live in a generation, where people advocate for love and peace like never before. Yet, we live in a world filled with hatred. Knowingly or unknowingly we too, sometimes fall in the trap. Love is a beautiful feeling, it is something everybody yearns for. One of the greatest example of love is, that between a mother and a child. Though we live in an age where mothers dump their little ones and even to an extent of taking their lives, but let’s just focus on Human Beings and not monsters. A mother loves a child, even when the child can’t give anything back. A mother takes care of her baby, and does everything for it out of love. When a baby is born, love takes over the mother. Similarly, if we let love take over our lives everyday then the world around us would be a much better place. But despite all that we know, sometimes we tend to live in a state of ignorance. The reason is we don’t know about the sufferings and the pain others around us are going through. We think the world is a really amazing place, but in reality, most of it is messed up.
Like singer Febin once said, ‘When you don’t know, you don’t know’. It’s as simple as that. When we don’t know what those around us are going through, we don’t know what to do for them. So maybe the first step is to know what they are going through. The reason we many times don’t let Love control us is because we still hold on to the age old saying, ‘Ignorance is Bliss’. Ignorance isn’t bliss, it’s just a fancy excuse for being lazy’. We become ignorant about the plight of others and live on with our lives. Loving someone can also inspire you to accomplish some of the most amazing feats you will ever undertake. Some of the world’s greatest musicians, artists, poets, authors have all tried to articulate the magic of love using the talents at their disposal. While all that is good and amazing, there are only a few who have tried to show love through their actions. And that makes a lot of difference. Sure, songs and poems can touch someone, but nothing shows love like when you actually express it to somebody who is in need. If we take a step to love someone, and no, not just on social media, but take a look around, there are people who deserve love but don’t get it. Give yourself to love and let Love take you over, and heal a broken heart, calm a stormy heart, embrace a lonely soul and turn a frown upside down.
