“Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning, but a going on”
Days, weeks, months and years go by without a pause, life moves on. But it is good for us to have moments like this, to not only have a reason to celebrate but also to take some time away from this wild journey we have all embarked upon, called Life. As we come to this point, looking back, all of us have different memories and different stories to share. Some may call it the best year they’ve ever had, and for the others who haven’t yet come across this blog may beg to differ. However this year treated you, we stand today with memories for a lifetime, joy flying higher than the mountains, sorrows that crushed your heart, emotions that left you wondering and in pain, moments that you wish had never ended, and at times moments that you wished never happened. That’s the beauty of life, the same year, but a million emotions. It is like an airport, the same airport that see tears, see smiles too.
All that happened in our lives, happened for a reason, and when we learn to understand it and appreciate the bigger picture, that’s when we can dance through the fire. It is not easy, but it is amazing. The world has seen a lot of things this year, we all smiled, we all cried, and at times we all cringed. From questioning ourselves as humanity when the bombs fell in Syria, to affirming our faith in humanity when the waters tried to drown Kerala and many more such events. Though many incidents and events divides us and put hatred amongst us, some events broke all those barriers and bought us together as one kind. A year of rollercoasters like any other, but in the end, nothing was useless, all of those events mattered. It either breaks you or makes you, what didn’t break you made you stronger and tougher, and helped you get back up and kick the problem in its face.
How ever this year went, it’s coming to an end. It’s time for a new year, time to make new memories, make new friends, make new mistakes, and learn new lessons. You never know what the road ahead of us holds, all we know is that it’s going to be memorable.
“Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a new ending”. This age old line comes very accurate now. We are all in that season of Resolutions, which shall eventually be broken before the month is over. But we all try, which also greatly matters. This year, as we are about to be bombarded with wishes, promises and resolutions, let’s focus on some of the many simple things which matters, let’s try to be better versions of ourselves, love everyone like ourselves, and take care of those around us like ourselves. Live and let live, this will make the world around us a better place. We all try to achieve greatness and success, and wish you good luck on that but also let’s be there for a broken heart, stretch our hands to wipe a tear, lend an ear to the one with sorrow, be a shoulder for the hurt to cry on. And lead a life with more of Him and less of us, and show the world who the Father is!
Let this year be as wonderful as you are!
Let’s change the world, one day at a time!
Nice writing Joel
Keep it up.
