“Though no one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.”
Every person who has used a computer has come across these three keys that have solved most of our problems during a malfunction. For those who have been born into the iPad and tablet ages, Ctrl Alt Delete was the keys you pressed to terminate an application and restart your computer when there was an error. One of its main functions was to reboot the system when met with a roadblock.
In everyone’s life, you’ve come across a time, where you have no clue what’s happening anymore and when there are errors going on, and we just want to reboot and restart all over again. It’s never too late to start over. To hit the pause button. Breathe. Then begin again. We lose ourselves in the shuffle, get caught up in the mistakes, fears and anxieties. We hold onto things that pull us back, not letting us move forward. All you got to do is, to just restart. All the things that make you sad, pull you back, the negatives in your life, it’s like a glass jar you carry around filled with things that you need to get rid of. We try to fit yourself in its glass walls, try to keep contained within the edges and not overflow.
Life isn’t perfect, it’s not a fairy-tale. It’s beautiful and complicated and burdensome and messy but you are a part of it, but sometimes, there comes a time when we can’t move ahead, all you must do is just step back and restart. There is no rewind, but you can always restart, let go. It’s never too late to put down that jar you’re carrying and pull yourself out of it, you can always Reshape, Remould, Repair. And begin again. The world is continually shifting, and you are continually moving within it, and sometimes it may not always take you in the direction you want.
To leave behind the broken and acknowledge that you can’t put it back together exactly how it was. To smile at the things you cannot replace, cannot fix, cannot make perfect. Nothing is perfect, all you have to do is forget that glass jar, break it, watch it shatter into a thousand tiny pieces and start over, begin again. All at once, or piece by piece. Start with the little things. Then be patient as you begin again, becoming new, becoming yourself.
You might wish there was magic to carry out your decisions, promises and goals. There is, and it is made of motivation, persistence, willpower and self-discipline. These are the powers that would change your life and make them interesting, happy and fulfilling. Every day is a new beginning. Treat it that way. Stay away from what might have been and look at what can be. Because there is nothing in the universe that will stop you from starting over.
“Hard is trying to rebuild yourself, piece by piece, with no instruction book, and no clue as to where all the important bits are supposed to go.”
