“Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it”
We are all human beings and we are constantly faced with traumas, pain and suffering that leaves us wondering with just a million questions as to why it happened? And we have no answer most times. We all go through battles, endure sufferings, fight through struggles and cry through pain, and in the end all we have left are the scars, that these fights leave behind. And many are ashamed of the scars, but the beauty lies in embracing it.
Most of us live with scars, inside and out, however our scars manifest, we need not feel ashamed but beautiful. It is beautiful to have lived, really lived, and to have the marks to prove it. It’s not a competition, as in “My scar is better than your scar”, but it’s a testament of our inner strength. Our scars are the proof that we went through pain and struggle and we made it alive. It shows who we are, it tells us that we are strong and that we can endure anything that life throws at us.
We as people living in this world, desire for a greater story than what we are currently living. We desire for something better, something more comfortable than what we have now, and we do everything we can to achieve those. We have that fire waiting to be rekindled by our action and passion, we have the desire to take on the world and to do great things and we do everything we can to do that, but the problem many times is that life has a weird sense of humour.
Struggles, challenges and hard times comes your way but it is there for a reason, it offers you much more value than any other time in your life. You cannot grow without struggle. You cannot get stronger without resistance. Think about a time in your life that may have been hard, but forced you to become better. Be grateful for those, it may have left a scar, but it made you better, stronger, tougher and who you are today, who is a better person than last time.
You were given pain because you are strong enough to handle it. You were given this life because the creator knew you were strong enough to live it. Because you are strong enough to drive through it. So if it is the fear of the scars and the struggle things would leave on you that is stopping you from being better and achieving greatness, then it’s time to ignore those. Because your scars tell a story, a story of how you walked through fire and you made it alive and that nothing in the world can stop you.
Your story is written in your scars!
