“You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep spring from coming.”
Sure, the way the world is right now is not pretty, its pain, death and fear everywhere. Nations shook, superpowers on their knees, intellectual giants giving up, everybody giving up, but the beauty of it all is that This Too Shall Pass. Our world has been here for quite some time and it has seen worse. From floods to plagues to wars to revolutions to you name it and it still keeps moving forward and it says to us even now, this too shall pass. Because the one who designed it is no ordinary architect. With every unfortunate event that hits the world, it just keeps going forward and it screams hope. And that should give us the hope each day. In a time where people question God and everything about him, there’s something a friend of God once said and he said this with confidence and with hope. He said, “Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds. After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” That’s hope like nowhere else, that’s something worth holding onto every night as we go to sleep and every waking moment.
To know that God is in control, even when it seems like it’s chaotic and it’s a mess, it’s always assuring to hold out our hope. To look up to the heavens and to acknowledge the fact that there is somebody up there who cares, someone who would do anything to make sure you are alright, somebody who did everything he could to make you His own, now that should let you face this crisis with a smile. That should be enough for you to hold out hope. Because, come hell or high water, there is always somebody watching out for you. Take a look around, there are people around you who cares, who loves you, who would do anything to put a smile on your face, who would miss you when you are gone. There is a God above and his angels here below who loves you and cares about you, that’s all the reason that you need to stay happy and to stay hopeful.
In a time when people knock at God’s door and when they think he has forgotten them, trust me, He hasn’t. Just when you think you can’t see God anywhere, you see the person there working in that hospital day in and day out sacrificing their life, God’s right there. You see those people who despite the repercussions go on and distribute foods and groceries to those who can’t get it? God’s right there. You see those good souls who donated for this cause? God’s right there. You see people keeping aside their differences and coming together to make this world a better place? God’s right there! It’s easy to blame it all on him and walk away but it takes a lot to see Him in every corner changing lives, making tomorrow’s beautiful and changing the today’s so that we get through this, not alone, Together!
We’ve been through worse, what’s another pandemic. Nothing can stop us because inside all that religion, caste, creed, ethnicity and classes we are all human. Sons and daughters of the same father, of a father who is right there with you, who will see you through the end of the line. But again, life is tough now but it will all soon change.
Your life may seem disrupted, things happening, things not happening, this shook our worlds. But again, keep the hope alive because When this ends, AND IT WILL, every game will sell out, every restaurant will have a 2 hour wait, every kid will be glad to be in school, everyone will love their job, the stock market will skyrocket, and every church will be filled with love and fellowship and that’s going to be a pretty good day, until then, Hope, keep it high, keep it bright. Because, this too shall pass and until that moment we rest in the warmth of solitude and the saviour.
Hang in there, World. This too shall pass!
