Sincerely, A Broken Christian (S1E5)

“We are made for goodness. We are made for love. We are made for friendliness. We are made for togetherness. We are made for all of the beautiful things that you and I know. We are made to tell the world that there are no outsiders. All are welcome: black, white, red, yellow, rich, poor, educated, not educated, male, female, gay, straight, all, all, all. We all belong to this family, this human family, God’s family.”

Dear World,

Togetherness has bought us so far and togetherness shall take us forth. The world is living a difficult and complicated situation. And these are times to be calm and work for all of us together in the same direction. It is time for unity, not for separation. When people come together for the right purpose and under the right leadership, what results is sheer magic.

Togetherness is an important element for the society we live in, as we all together form this whole nation. “Strength is always with the Unity” is a well-known phrase and it is totally true. When the world goes berserk, it is the time we need to come together as one.  Therefore, in unity, everyone stands together for every big and small problem. There are several stories as well as there are many real-life incidences that are proof that unity always leads a harmonious and satisfying life for everyone.

Now if we know that togetherness will take us forward, why do we still choose to stand divided? People fight over insignificant and stupid things and in the end, they end up with loneliness and emptiness. Though we understand the beauty of togetherness, we don’t let ourselves come together because of reasons we give ourselves, and it makes you wonder, what do we need to do to stay together? Stop giving ourselves excuses. If we keep giving excuses, we can do keep doing it and we are not going to reach anywhere.

Poet Kahlil Gibran once wrote, “But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.”

When we let our togetherness build us, we get better as each day goes by. There is a lot we could learn from each other and if we use the lessons we learn from each other to make our lives and our communities better, we build a better world, not just for us but for the generations that follow us. We know our world is getting crazy, we are losing heroes we thought we had forever, we are losing nations to war and we are losing what our ancestors built just because we can’t get along together. Now imagine how much better we can make this world and our lives if we can just get together and stay that way.

If we fall, we will fall together and if we rise, we do that together too!

Sincerely,

A Broken Christian

P.S. The letter doesn’t end here, it goes on, as the fight does!
