“Sometimes the underdogs got the baddest bite”
Life is filled with moments of loss and pain but also of small victories. The Goliaths might win most of the time, but sometimes the David’s got an extra stone, the extra grit, the extra passion, sometimes David just got the baddest bite. Sometime life brings down its walls for the underdog and sometimes the underdogs just march on and break the walls down. Yes, Goliath’s big and bad and can crush David like a fly but the attitude of David was that of someone who knew there was hope. David knew he just had to throw the stone, his target is a giant, it will hit him somewhere.
Sometimes it is all about walking up to the giant. Sometimes it is all about the mentality of moving forward, despite not seeing any signs of an upper hand, you still can emerge the one on top. And yeah, it sounds cool and what not but it really lies in the attitude. Everyone loves a good story about an underdog who defies all odds and proves everyone who told them they couldn’t do it wrong. By taking on this persona, you give yourself the chance to be the victor in your own underdog story, shielding yourself from whatever life throws at you.

When life backs you into a corner, it is easy to sit there and wallow but sometimes out of that misery comes out a little man with a stone that just might slay the giant. And the world bows to that boy, it is never about what he has or what he could accomplish, it is always about what’s inside of him, the mentality to take on the world, the fierce force of resilience that just wants to rise above the misery. And life favors the one who just bites the baddest because that’s all he can do and that’s all he needs to do.
