“Everything is subject to God’s timing and everything depends on it”
Does it ever seem like life is an endless waiting period? It is as if waiting is inevitable! It sometimes feels as if we are living most of our life in the in-between. In between our current job and our dream job. In between our last failed relationship and the future forever relationship. In between God’s last manifested promise and the one for which we are waiting. If you find yourself currently in the waiting space and terrified, relax, don’t panic, you’ve got huge company.
Can you trust God’s timing? Without further ado, Yes! The issue is when we are called to be patient and wait, the confidence while present at the beginning, can have a tendency to vanish into the thin air of doubt and fear. Our life story should be as worthy of glorifying God during the in-between periods as it is on the mountain tops. We should be examples of what it looks like to wait. When the world looks at us, they should see the beauty of waiting. Sometimes, God makes us wait as an answer to prayers we aren’t quite ready for. At times we still have habits that are not conducive to the place we are wanting to be. Perhaps your dream position requires a level of organization that you have yet to master.
He doesn’t want to give us anything that would keep us from him. He knows us, intimately, and he wants us to know him intimately. He wants us to know that he wants to give us every good thing that he has for us, but as a Father, he doesn’t want to give us anything that will ultimately hurt us, or cause us to move further from him. So, he is patient with us, allowing us to mature before propelling us to the next level in this journey. And yes, the waiting is one of the most annoying phases we can be in but when we wait on Him, it doesn’t become a thing of annoyance, it becomes beautiful, it becomes marvelous and it becomes a period of testimony.
As we wait on the Lord our capacity is stretched and we can receive even greater than we could have even asked. We find ourselves doubting if the promised time will ever come, it feels like time stands still and nothing seem to work but in the stillness of time, God is speaking to us, he wants to let us know that he is on His way, and no, He’s not late like we think, He is on time, His time. So what can we do? Take five and wait, for the deliverance to come.
