The God I Know (S1E7)

“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God”

“Sure, I’ll be there at 6”, “I’ll definitely be there to help you out”, “Trust me, I can do it for you”. We’ve all heard these words from those around us, and we’ve had friends come through and do it but many times we’ve also had people not stand with what they told and it would have made us sad and disappointed. Our trust would have been broken multiple times and we reach a point where we don’t trust anyone. And it’s a difficult phase to go through. If this has taken you to the past and has dug up some negative memories, Cheer up! Let’s talk about the God I know. The God I Know can be trusted. And it’s not like the trust of the world, it’s will never be broken or taken lightly. When you put your trust in the God I Know, he always comes through and he’s true to his word.

So trust, pretty strong word. And when we say to trust in the God I Know, it is to trust in the Lord more than believing in who he is and what he says. Having confidence in something means having an assurance that leads to action. Trust in the Lord is a faith that lets us boldly serve. This confidence should infuse our whole being. To trust in this God may not be easy for many, specially if you’ve been hurt before from distrust. “Trust Him to be faithful to you.  Look to Him in all that you do and in all that you experience, even when it is difficult.  Remember, faith is only as good as the person in whom you put it.  Since we Christians serve the true and awesome God of the universe, our faith, our trust, will not be wasted. In order to trust in God, you must totally surrender your will, your ideas, your desires, and your future in to God’s hands. Many of us are “control freaks.” We don’t want to give the control of any part of our lives over to another”

“If you don’t believe that God loves you fully and really does have your best interests at heart and desires the very best for you, trusting Him is going to be extremely difficult. It takes a very special relationship to allow that measure of surrender. To get into that relationship and to live a life completely trusting in this God is one of the most beautiful things you can do in this beautiful journey we call life. Because the God I Know will be there for you, because he can be trusted”
